Hey!! Micah,I'm Coach B if it makes since to me,I get it. This ball is very good for reinforcing getting the strings of the ball for increase shot making.It doesn't matter from a beginner, intermediate, advance once I tell them to trace the lines they do it,automatic. The ball is round we know but ,I tell kids once you get the strings of the ball it's no other feeling for consistent shot making.I'm purchasing another one. Coach B
